Weekend Cloud Cover Assessment Operator (m/f/d)
The position is based in Munich (EUSI office) and Oberpfaffenhofen (German Aerospace Center DLR), Germany.
We offer employment for weekend work (every 2nd or as agreed) on a mini-job basis (450,- € pcm). This job is suitable for students or part-time workers. For the successful candidate a paid part-time training period of a couple of days is required to become familiar with the software.
Cloud Cover Assessment: With the help of a Cloud Cover Assessor the operator visually assesses daily collected satellite images and defines regions of the image that are unusable due to cloud coverage. Prior to the manual cloud cover assessment, the system will automatically attempt to detect the clouds in the imagery. Then,using the Cloud Cover Assessor, the operator can inspect and edit the automatically detected regions of clouds.
Your skills include:
- Good command of English language and good knowledge of German
- Reliable, structured, independent and accurate approach to work
- Willingness for weekend work (dependent on the schedule this could either be at the office in Munich or at DLR, Oberpfaffenhofen)
- Driver’s license (own car would be of advantage)
- EU Citizenship
