Weekend Cloud Cover Assessment Operator (m/f/d)

European Space Imaging (EUSI) is Europe’s most successful provider of global high resolution satellite imagery based in Munich, Germany. Establishment in 2002, EUSI has consistently shown extraordinary growth and is now selling its satellite image products to customers in Europe and North Africa. EUSI is a WorldView Global Alliance partner of DigitalGlobe, USA. Our Technology partners are the German Aerospace Center DLR and GAF AG.

Facilitating our growth we are seeking to recruit reliable and precisely working persons as:
Weekend Cloud Cover Assessment Operator (m/f/d)

The position is based in Munich (EUSI office) and Oberpfaffenhofen (German Aerospace Center DLR), Germany.
We offer employment for weekend work (every 2nd or as agreed) on a mini-job basis (450,- € pcm). This job is suitable for students or part-time workers. For the successful candidate a paid part-time training period of a couple of days is required to become familiar with the software.

Cloud Cover Assessment: With the help of a Cloud Cover Assessor the operator visually assesses daily collected satellite images and defines regions of the image that are unusable due to cloud coverage. Prior to the manual cloud cover assessment, the system will automatically attempt to detect the clouds in the imagery. Then,using the Cloud Cover Assessor, the operator can inspect and edit the automatically detected regions of clouds.

Your skills include:

  • Good command of English language and good knowledge of German
  • Reliable, structured, independent and accurate approach to work

Additional requirements:

  • Willingness for weekend work (dependent on the schedule this could either be at the office in Munich or at DLR, Oberpfaffenhofen)
  • Driver’s license (own car would be of advantage)
  • EU Citizenship

Student Trainee Marketing Support (m/f/d)

The position is based in Munich, Germany, 1-2 days per week (approx. 8-16 hours per week).

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Source and enhance satellite images for social and printed media using Photoshop
• EDM updating and maintenance
• Sourcing promotional items
• Migrating web content to the new website
• Image library optimization
• Packing and shipping promotional collateral for events
• Daily business support

Your skills include:

• Good knowledge of Adobe CS (especially Photoshop and InDesign) and MS Office Suite
• Experience in graphic design
• Experience with a CMS (WordPress preferred)
• Good knowledge of English
• Good team player – flexible and multi-tasking
• Creative and engaged
