Constellation Direct Access Facility
The Constellation Direct Access Facility (CDAF) directly tasks the satellites from the DigitalGlobe constellation.
European Space Imaging’s CDAF is located on the grounds of Germany’s national aerospace research centre (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, and is operated in cooperation with the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD).
The CDAF provides a direct data uplink and downlink to WorldView-1, WorldView-2, WorldView-3, WorldView-4 and GeoEye-1. Direct tasking using local real-time weather data assures almost 95% cloud-free coverages.
