Software Engineer (M/F)

European Space Imaging is Europe’s leading provider of global very high resolution satellite imagery and is based in Munich, Germany. Since its establishment in 2002, European Space Imaging has consistently shown extraordinary growth and is now selling its satellite image products to customers in Europe and North Africa.

We are currently searching for a creative Software Engineer to join the Development Team at European Space Imaging. Working within the optical satellite sector of Earth Observation, this position offers the right candidate the freedom to bring their own ideas and really innovate the role to make it their own. Reporting directly to the Development Lead, this is the perfect opportunity to take ownership of your career and become an essential part of a dynamic and growing organization.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Development of cloud based satellite image product solutions
• Develop human-machine interface for internal and external software solutions
• Support the development team in optimizing workflows throughout the company
• Cooperate with partners on external software development tasks
• Maintain and operate software solutions
• Develop custom solutions for core customers

Your skills include:
The Must-Haves
• Excellent JavaScript, CSS and HTML skills
• Knowledge of geospatial frontend libraries such as OpenLayers, Leaflet or CesiumJS
• Experience in Python
• Good working knowledge of English
• A university degree in Software Engineering/GIS or similar
• Proven practical job experience (3+ years)
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, comprehension and presentation skills, as well as intercultural competence
• Nationality limited to EU member country, NATO member country, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and Switzerland

The Nice-to-Haves
• German on B1 level or higher is a plus
• Experience in Linux based environments
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Backend development experience
• A basic knowledge of satellite remote sensing would be a plus

The role requires full-time work, 40 hours a week. The initial contract will be limited to 12 months.

Digital Marketing Coordinator (M/F)

The position is based in Munich, Germany, and is full-time (40 hours per week).

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Managing the company website
• Managing the company Twitter account
• Managing the SEO and SEM Campaigns (Adwords) for the company
• Managing company direct electronic mail campaigns
• Supporting the writing, editing and proof-reading of communication content across multiple mediums (in English language)
• Sourcing and enhancing satellite images for marketing purposes
• Conducting market research

Your profile includes:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in marketing or communications
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proficient in WordPress website content management system, experience in HTML and CSS
• Proficient in Google Analytics
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, particularly Photoshop and Indesign
• Proficient in Microsoft office programs including word, excel and powerpoint
• Copywriting experience for multiple audiences
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Experience with EDM software (Mail Chimp) would be a plus
• Good team player – flexible and a multitasker with great attention to detail
• Creative and well organised person with high work ethic and reliability
• An interest in the area of satellite imagery would be considered an advantage
• Native English speaker; communicative German is a benefit, but not required
• EU Residency/Nationality limited to NATO, European Union, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and Switzerland

Regional Sales Manager Satellite Imagery (M/F)

The position is based in Munich, Germany, and reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Sell data products through reseller network and to key customers in the remote sensing industry
• Support, evaluate and expand reseller network
• Manage internal and external sales processes
• Develop and manage country and individual sales plans
• Prepare non-standard offers and proposals
• Conduct technical product presentations
• Maintain and expand all customer relationships after the initial sales success
• Initiate marketing activities internally and externally

Your profile includes:

• 3-5 years of success in direct and indirect sales environments in the field of Remote Sensing/GIS
• A university degree in Remote Sensing/GIS or similar
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, comprehension and presentation skills, as well as intercultural competence
• Excellent command of English (oral and written) – German a plus
• Ability to travel within Europe and North Africa
• EU Residency/Nationality limited to NATO, European Union, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and Switzerland

Student Trainee Marketing Support (M/F)

The position is based in Munich, Germany, 1-2 days per week (approx. 8-16 hours per week).

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Source and enhance satellite images for social and printed media using Photoshop
• EDM updating and maintenance
• Sourcing promotional items
• Migrating web content to the new website
• Image library optimization
• Packing and shipping promotional collateral for events
• Daily business support

Your skills include:

• Good knowledge of Adobe CS (especially Photoshop and InDesign) and MS Office Suite
• Experience in graphic design
• Experience with a CMS (WordPress preferred)
• Good knowledge of English
• Good team player – flexible and multi-tasking
• Creative and engaged
