Mapping (back to overview)

Very high-resolution satellite imagery can accomplish absolute positioning, with the use of image-based ground control points. Maps created with the use of EUSI's highly accurate imagery reveal much more detailed information than traditional line-drawn maps, including vegetation, buildings, automotive vehicles, hydrography and other critical natural and cultural land features. Municipal governments can use satellite imagery to monitor and plan the expansion of public infrastructure and services. Retail chains can use very high-resolution imagery to plan where to locate their next franchise. Marketing professionals use very high-resolution imagery to establish and update sales territories and plan promotional campaigns. Large-scale construction companies also utilize satellite imagery as part of their planning process. EUSI imagery data is available in standard GIS and mapping formats which allow seamless integration with other data sources.
