Insurance (back to overview)

European Space Imaging's very high-resolution satellite imagery is an enormous source for up-to-date and accurate imagery, which enables users to see real-world conditions even before stepping on the landscape. Very high-resolution imagery from EUSI can be used to conduct detailed damage assessments to buildings and infrastructure following a natural or man-made disaster. In this way insurance appraisers/adjusters gain a better understanding of the magnitude of the problem, and focus on specific properties of their clients. The imagery can also be used to create databases that integrate surface and subsurface feature data that can be leveraged to create risk maps for many different environments. This information can then be used to identify potential insurance risks before an event occurs.
